2020: Carrying out training at production using VR technologies
The HEINEKEN brewery in Nizhny Novgorod estimated effectiveness of training at production using VR technologies and compared such approach to the traditional training program. It became known on November 26, 2020. The research on Volga brewery was conducted based on the training program of employees to skills of first aid.
We were faced by a question: whether we can review a traditional method of training and offer employees more interesting format? However before implementation of any innovations in corporate environment it is necessary to analyze readiness of employees for technologies. We decided to compare effectiveness of corporate training using VR technologies and usual methodical materials and also to find out the level of assimilation of information and readiness of people for perception of such format — the labor protection manager, health and the environment, Volga brewery Ekaterina Krasnaya told. |
40 employees of different age, positions and levels of digital competences took part in testing. It allowed to study perception of information of different categories of people.
For an experiment the training mode of virtual simulation in the First aid VR exercise machine, namely a situation was taken at an extremity fracture. The mechanics of carrying out a research meant separation of participants into four groups. The first studied using text materials, the second using VR, the third used at first the textbook of methodics, and then VR, and the fourth on the contrary – studied at first using VR, and then applied text materials.
As a result of a research it became clear that the combination of two formats was the ideal option of training which showed maximum efficiency: VR and methodical material, and in such sequence when the employee is trained at first in VR. 84% of the employees participating in test VR training would prefer to use further this technology at all not to resort to an internal format.
The technological solution was provided for training and a research by Modum Lab company.
