On Sakhalin build children's hospital for 8.2 billion rubles

In November, 2020 the Ministry of Economic Development of the Sakhalin region started the tender for construction of children's regional hospital in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk from initial (maximum) at the cost of contracts of 8.22 billion rubles.

Under the terms of the agreement, the contractor will have to construct the following objects:

  • The main building  — 37,870 sq.m;
  • Infectious department  — 4,125 sq.m;
  • Kliniko-diagnostichesky laboratory  — 2,595 sq.m;
  • Garage  — 429 sq.m;
  • The catering department building with  an all-hospital warehouse  — 1,952 sq.m.

In treatment of children will use low-invasive methods which provide the smallest intervention in an organism. In hospital 300 beds will be provided.

The solution of a question on construction of children's regional hospital  — just a successful example of such work. Together with the federal center we put in motion a long-term problem. Sakhalin will receive new children's hospital in which it needed long ago  — the governor of the island region Valery Limarenko said.

The corresponding agreements were reached during negotiations of the Sakhalin governor with the new Minister for the Development of the Russian Far East Alexey Chekunkov. It is expected that for construction of hospital  more than 2 billion rubles from the federal budget will be selected.  6 billion more will direct from the budget of the Sakhalin region.

Are going to begin construction of children's hospital in 2021. It is expected that the medical institution will be put in operation by the end of the 2024th.

It is noted that work on attraction of federal funds on construction of regional children's hospital the regional government and personally the governor was begun in 2019. As a result of negotiations the considerable amount of funds will be directed through the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation. So, in 2021 the area will receive 614.2 million rubles, in 2022 - 492.8 million rubles, in 2023 - 492.8 million rubles and also in the 2024th – 584.9 million rubles.[1]
