2020: Installation of a system of providing Arctic ice breaker with operation

The NPP Spectec company announced on November 30, 2020 delivery of a system of providing the Arctic project 22220 with operation of the head ice breaker. A system is created on the basis of the software package TRIM, her direct customer the Concern " acted as NPO Avrora.

The head universal atomic Arctic ice breaker of project 22220 is constructed by request of State corporation "Rosatom" at Baltic Shipyard of century St. Petersburg. Unlike the operating ice breakers, it can provide pilotage both on deep-water routes of the Northern Sea Route, and thanks to capability to change draft for shallow water. Atomic ice breakers of project 22220 will be able to carry out convoys of vessels, punching ice up to three meters thick.

One of the most important problems of operation of the ice breaker is work all-ship and special purpose on maintenance and repair (MRO). The large volume of these works and also their complexity and need of exact observance of regulations and requirements increase labor input of processes of technical management. Cost efficiency of operation depends on costs both for works, and for purchase of the wide nomenclature of spare parts and materials. Articles of these costs require correct accounting and the objective analysis for the purpose of identification of unplanned components and their reasons, and adoption of the relevant decisions.

In this regard the system of ensuring operation of the ice breaker (SEL) will become the necessary management tool operation. It serves for information support and process automation of a MRO, includes a coastal and ship part.

The functionality of SEL covers planning of a MRO, drawing up, calculation and approval of repair sheets, the automated exchange of repair sheets between office and the vessel, report generation about execution of works, determination of planned and actual costs on a MRO, the analysis of results of a MRO, formation of requests for material resources under repair work, management of warehouses of spare parts and materials, the automated interaction with adjacent information systems and many other functions.

The Concern "NPO Avrora attracted the company to its creation "with NPP Spectec – developer EAM/ APM- the TRIM systems, service provider in the field of implementation of information management systems of a MRO. The main argument for benefit of such choice was the fact that management of a MRO of all atomic icebreaker fleet Russia is conducted more than 10 years in the TRIM system.

During creation of SEL specialists of NPP Spectec performed all complex of works, including development of documentation on a system, filling of the SEL database, development of the converter for integration of SEL with an APCS of the ice breaker, installation, balancing and commissioning and acceptance tests of SEL, training of users, mooring and ride tests of a system on production base Baltic Plant Shipbuilding LLC.
