2020: Center Presentation

On November 26, 2020, it became known that the Yougra High Biomedical Technology Center will be built in Surgut.

HospitalTechnician introduced the concept of the center.

The concept of the Center is based on the idea of personalized medicine.

The Center plans to create its own biobank of cells and genetic material, which will determine the genome of aboriginal, indigenous and alien peoples of the North.

Based on these data, scientists will be able to study the molecular genetic mechanisms of the emergence and development of hereditary diseases of local residents and develop methods for their diagnosis, treatment and prevention.

This research centre will be equipped with the following laboratories:

Laboratory of mass spectrometry - will allow to diagnose up to 33 hereditary diseases;

Laboratory of Molecular Genetic Research - implements the diagnosis of diseases in oncopathology, perinatology, cardiology;

Laboratory of cellular technologies - will ensure the collection, storage and preparation of stem cells for transplantation;

Biobank - will accumulate and store biomaterial from the regions of Ural Federal District;

Bioinformatics Laboratory - will perform processing of targeted, exomic, full-genome sequencing data.

The Yougra project was supported by organizations such as the International Agency for Research cancer at the World Organization health care (Lyon), France Biobanking and BioMolecular resources Research Infrastructure - European Research Infrastructure Consortium (, Austria Graz), Fraunhofer-Institut Bioenrepur, Grenzäflägia (Graz Germany Stuttgart Russia St. Petersburg Surgut State University).

It is expected that the center designed by HospitalTechnician will be implemented in the next few years with the help of a private investor.
