In another 6%, complications were associated with diseases and injuries that occurred before vaccination, or with an error in diagnosis.

The Argentine Ministry of Health noted that in most cases (99.3%) they were talking about symptoms of mild or moderate severity. Hospitalization was not required with them, these patients fully recovered.

Sputnik V was the first coronavirus vaccine to enter Argentina. The first batch of the drug arrived in the country on December 24, 2020. In addition to Sputnik V, Argentina has entered into agreements on the supply of AstraZeneca and Covax vaccines. Clinical trials of the Russian coronavirus vaccine were not conducted in Argentina.
