Scientific NITU "MISIS" developed the Russian Federation's first virtual model of the new station of Moscow Metro

Customers: Moscow Metro

Moscow; Transport

Product: BIM projects

Project date: 2020/04  - 2020/09

On December 14, 2020 it became known that scientists of the NITU "MISIS" Mining institute offered approach in design of city space, having appeared the Russia's first information 3D model of the metro station "Stroiteley Street" under construction in Moscow and also the distillation tunnels suitable it. The model will allow to pass from traditional two-phasic design process of an object to a progressive iteratsionalny method of development and construction of the subway. The project orderer - JSC Transinzhstroy.

In the world construction industry BIM technologies which are the powerful tool in design and process management of construction of any object find broad application. BIM (Building Information Model or Modeling) is an information model of buildings and constructions as which in a broad sense understand any infrastructure facilities – engineering networks, roads, the railroads, bridges, ports and tunnels, etc. However in underground construction in Russia they are not applied yet as such building requires to consider a set of difficult factors: geomechanics, shift of soil and others geodynamic processes.

Much increased possibilities of IT technologies allow designers and builders to implement seeming still yesterday unreal from the technical point of view of the solution: improbable forms and amounts of constructions at design and construction of the difficult land and underground complexes going on kilometers to the earth and towering on hundreds of meters up.

Scientific NITU "MISIS" within project implementation together with the leading construction company of Moscow of JSC Transinzhstroy began development of an information model of the metro station "Stroiteley Street" under construction and the distillation tunnels suitable it. This model allows to pass from two-phasic design of an object to iteratsionalny (based on repetition) to control process. It means necessary adjustments of the made decisions, both on blueprint stage, and on the building site, and at any stage of readiness of an object. At the same time there is an operational opportunity at once to give efficiency evaluation of the made technical solutions.

All elements of a 3D model are allocated with qualities and properties of the real constructions and materials used for construction. It means that designers, builders or customers can look at any time at characteristics of materials and constructions, necessary state standard specifications and standards in any point of objects. Considering that the existing underground services and land objects get to a zone of construction, it allows to determine most precisely the cost of works and to construct the schedule of construction of all object.

Practical use of model will allow as authors of work consider, to provide effective interaction between all participants of construction process (the investor, the customer, the designer and the contractor) and also will allow to conduct strict control of terms of construction works and expenditure of material resources.

Much increased possibilities of ADP equipment allow designers and builders to implement seeming still yesterday not real from the technical point of view of the solution, improbable forms and amounts of a construction at design and construction of the difficult land and underground complexes going on kilometers to the earth and towering on hundreds of meters up.
