On December 15, 2020, the Smart Driving Laboratory company (hereinafter referred to as the Laboratory) announced that they had concluded a cooperation agreement with the Velkor leasing company. The parties will jointly develop smart leasing technology based on the Connected Car of the Element platform. Its implementation will create a single digital environment for interaction between the lessor, client, insurance companies and car services. This will lead to a very noticeable decrease in advance and leasing payments.

Already in December 2020, VELKOR customers have the opportunity to lease vehicles equipped with the Element telematic security system, connected to a single cloud platform, which the lessor will have access to, and leasing recipients and representatives of insurance companies will be able to use services.

At the initial stage of implementation, the "Connected System" will allow you to form a database on the geography of vehicle operation, determine a portrait of the user from the point of view of driving safety and behavioral habits. This knowledge will be useful for all parties to the transaction. Their assessment and analysis should lead to minimization of risks, which will allow to form fundamentally different leasing conditions in collaboration with Insurance partners. The "element" allows you to remotely diagnose the technical condition of cars, evaluate driving safety, monitor the location of vehicles and their departure from certain geozone. Corporate customers, together with leased cars, will receive a full-fledged virtual monitoring and control center that allows you to control driving safety, fuel consumption, evaluate maintenance costs in advance and instantly learn about breakdowns or accidents. In addition to monitoring, the Element provides antitheft and security functions.

One of the key factors in reducing leasing payments is discounts from insurance companies on casco and simplification of settlement procedures due to obtaining objective data on accidents. The Element system is accredited by most insurance companies. At the same time, the lysine receiver does not bear the cost of equipping its fleet with anti-theft and monitoring systems.

The VELCOR smart leasing system will operate on the basis of the secure IT infrastructure of the Laboratory. The parties have already conducted joint testing of the software and have begun to install telemetry units on vehicles.
