2021: Start Data Center
In early March 2021, the Russian hosting-provider and registrar domainsReg.ru announced the launch of a data center in the territory. special economic zone "Technopolice Moscow"
The data center is located on an area of 600 m2 and is designed for 168 server racks. Infrastructure elements are reserved at Tier-III level. The supplied capacity of the data center was 1.5 MW (first stage - 1 MW).
DPC power supply is organized from two independent city inputs and two diesel generator units. System elements are reserved at level 2N. Uninterrupted power supply is implemented through two parallel UPS systems connected to different inputs. Battery life at full load is 14 minutes. Power supply is provided by two SDMO diesel generator units with Volvo Penta engines, the fuel supply will be enough for 10 hours of operation with full load.
The cooling system is based on the Stulz Cyber Air 3 freon air conditioners using false floor, "hot" and "cold" corridors. The protection level is N + 1.
The data center is located on a closed area with a pass mode. The premises are equipped with security alarms, access control and video surveillance systems. The data center organized round-the-clock duty.
The company noted that the 24-hour real-time monitoring system monitors all parameters of engineering systems and equipment: from the availability and quality of power at the inputs to the power supply at each rack.
At the time of official start of data center of Reg.ru in operation about 2500 clients among whom - "The first bit", Renault and Robokassa already used its services. At this site, the Reg.ru provides leasing services for dedicated servers (Dedicated) and equipment placement (Colocation). It is also planned to develop the direction of infrastructure services.[1]
As Vladimir Longinov, the chief engineer of the REG.RU data center, said, since it was about resuscitation of the preserved object, it was necessary to fit the necessary infrastructure into the already ready-made room. In particular, because of this, there were difficulties with the placement of external equipment: diesel generators and condenser units. It was impossible to place the equipment where it was technologically justified, so the project team used alternative working solutions.
For example, diesel generators were installed 300 meters from the facility and built a rack for laying cables. Condenser blocks of air conditioners would be ideally placed on the roof of the building, but we had to install them on the lawn in front of the main facade, which increased the length of the freon route and led to the location of condensers below the compressors, "explains Vladimir Longinov. - However, together with HTS and DataDome we found solutions and in these conditions created a workable data center conditioning system. |
When selecting equipment, the type of air conditioners, their cooling capacity and dimensions, as well as the possibility of working with a freon route length of 50-60 meters and the location of condensers 9 meters below the compressors, were taken into account. At the same time, the reliability and redundancy of the air conditioning system should have been combined with the need to maintain the necessary climatic parameters of the engine room in the 24/7 mode. After evaluating the proposals of three different manufacturers, STULZ CyberAir 3 ASD 1032A air conditioners were selected for the project. In total, as part of the project, 8 STULZ precision air conditioners with a total cooling capacity of 823 kW and 16 double-circuit air cooling condensers of the German manufacturer Guentner were installed in the equipment room.
The partner in the supply of the cooling system was HTS, the official distributor of precision air conditioning and cold supply equipment of STULZ (Germany) in the Russian Federation .

2020: Data Center Creation
The integrator of engineering systems DataDome took part in the creation of another data center for the Russian - and hostingprovider recorder. domains REG.RU
In November 2020, DataDome completed a project for REG.RU, including the installation and commissioning of the following data center engineering systems:
- power supply,
- cold supply,
- ventilation,
- false floor.
During the implementation of the power supply system in the data center, DataDome specialists installed panel equipment (BRU-ATS and distribution boards) and installed six UPS with a capacity of 200 kW each with the connection of six battery cabinets. Cable lines with a length of 250 meters were installed with a voltage of 0.4 kV from the data center GRSH to two DGP. All components of the power supply system are reserved at level 2N. The lighting system is made on the basis of LED lamps, and a flow system is installed to place cables inside the data center. It is worth noting that the outlet network covered the GRSCH data center, machine room, control room and office premises.
Eight Stulz precision air conditioners with a total cooling capacity of 823 kW are installed in the equipment room to remove heat. Also, two split systems with a total cooling capacity of 6.6 kW each are installed in the office and control room, and two channel air conditioners with a cooling capacity of 9.5 kW each are installed in the DPC GRSCH room.
In addition, the data center implemented a ventilation system and installed the DATAFLOOR industrial false floor system with an area of 515 m2.

Data center REG.RU a total area of 1180 m2 is located in a special economic zone "Technopolice "Moscow" and is designed for the installation of 170 racks. The supplied capacity of the data center is 1.5 MW. Implementation of the project taking into account complex tests and commissioning of engineering systems took five months. All elements of the data center infrastructure data correspond to reliability level Tier III.
