2020: Labarum will warn users about bad faith of developers of a fraudulent website
Employees of the IT direction of youth department Vyborg diocese of Russian Orthodox Church developed "the first orthodox anti-virus SOFTWARE" Labarum. The program is designed to protect the believing users from the swindlers collecting donations under the guise of priests[1].
"Browser expansion, the web defender allowing using the database of the websites which officially the Russian Orthodox Church published to warn you at once that you got on a fraudulent website. The Synod department will expand afterwards base — we will fill up from there, and we are going to fill up still. We will have web volunteers who will trace these moments and to learn whether really the website belongs to the temple and whether really they accept online notes. Recently enormous rise of frauds by cards and on the Internet therefore to secure believers, we also created such assistant is observed" — the archpriest Artemy Litvinov noted. |
Labarum will warn users about bad faith of developers of the website if the resource illegally offers the order of occasional offices in temples or belongs to the person issuing itself for the priest.
