2020: Training of representatives of public authorities of YaNAO in work with "Red OS"

In December, 2020 based on Department of information technologies and communication of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area training of representatives state of authorities of the region in use the Russian operating system "Red OS" came to the end. Training of specialists is carried out within implementation of the regional project of YaNAO "Information security", reported on December 30, 2020 in the company "Red Soft".

The project objective Information security is increase in a share of the purchased and rented domestic software by public authorities of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area up to 90% by 2024. In 2020 the Red Soft company delivered over 1700 licenses for the Red OS operating system for the state, municipal and commercial organizations of YaNAO.

In two weeks of 50 IT specialists of a public sector of YaNAO mastered the principles of work on the Red OS operating system. The training program was made taking into account features of information infrastructure of the region, in particular, practical recommendations about setup of the imposed information security tools are added to a rate (ViPNet, Dallas Lock).

Training took place in two directions: basic and expanded administration. The rate included theoretical and practical lessons. At the last stage future administrators of "Red OS" confirmed the gained knowledge, having passed the test consisting of 11 laboratory works and the final test.

"Red OS" – the Russian operating system of the Linux family for servers and workstations providing the universal environment for use of the application software. The product is certified by FSTEC of Russia (No. 4060 of 1/12/2019) that confirms its compliance to requirements of information security and allows its application in the state information systems. By "Red OS" it is registered in the Unified register of the Russian computer programs and databases of the Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation (No. 3751).

In comparison with foreign analogs, not all Russian developments are so popular among users, but have good potential for this purpose. It is deeply convinced that success depends on active use of our products what we also work on", - the director of the department of information technologies and communication of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area Kirill Albychev noted.
