2020: Completion of construction

At the end of December, 2020 in Vologda the perinatal center was put into operation. This medical institution will begin to deliver in February of the 2021st, the press service of the government of the region reports.

In the Vologda perinatal center constructed on on Poshekhonskoye Highway in Vologda expanded intensive care units and intensive therapy of newborns, patrimonial department with chambers "mother and child", medico-genetic consultation and laboratory, department of the emergency advisory help will be placed. Devices ULTRASONOGRAPHY, IVL and transport couveuses purchased.

In Vologda the construction of the perinatal center is completed

Specialists of the center will be able to deliver to the 5th thousand annually. On the first floor of the building the intensive care unit — 12 beds and also intensive care unit of newborns with a separate exit to 10 beds will be placed. On the second — department of pathology of newborn and premature children on 25 places. On the third — the general postnatal department.

Total investments into the project made 623 million rubles from which 230 million rubles are selected from the federal budget according to the Health care national project, the rest — means of the regional budget.

This modern perinatal center is constructed in record time. Here the unique equipment purchased, will save children with any pathologies, with extremely low body weight here - from 500 grams, it is possible to accept any childbirth here, to perform the most difficult operations. Exactly here the best professionals of the Vologda region on acceptance of childbirth and rescue of children are concentrated — the governor of the Vologda region Oleg Kuvshinnikov said.

Before the maternity hospital in the Vologda region was constructed 40 years ago. Thanks to new organization there will be an opportunity to deliver in addition 1.5 thousand a year women with risk of development of complications of pregnancy.[1]
