2020: Announcement of technology

At the beginning of January, 2021 the Accuray company provided the system of a kilovoltage computer tomography ClearRT. This advanced solution for visualization integrated with the powerful, exact and adaptive platform of radiation. ClearRT should provide fast and economic obtaining KT-images for improvement of care of patients. The Accuray company plans commercial release of ClearRT Helical kVCT Imaging for the Radixact system in the spring of 2021.

ClearRT provides new opportunities of visualization in comparison with the normal systems of linear particle accelerators which rely on visualization using the conical and beam computer tomography (CBCT). ClearRT can be also used as an alternative to the systems of radiation therapy on the basis of MRT which can be difficult and expensive in use. ClearRT provides high uniformity of the image and the low level of "noise", the improved visualization of soft fabrics and high spatial resolution.

The solution ClearRT for visualization is easily integrated in the Radixact system. The spiral fan image allows health workers to configure precisely the tool for inspection of complex cases, including visualization of patients with metal implants to which contraindicated MRT. Working with speed "meter per minute", ClearRT provides the biggest in the industry a cross field of the overview and the biggest length of continuous scanning that facilitates inspection of patients.

Developers consider that sharp, high-quality images will reduce time necessary for diagnostics of patients, thereby accelerating workflow. Besides, the images received in ClearRT can be used in the Accuray PreciseART analyzer for correction of a dose of radiation at therapy.[1]
