Architecture

BizTalk is constructed on architecture of publishers/subscribers of messages (publishing/subscribing architecture) which basic principle is that the publisher creates and transfers the message to the bus of messages (BizTalk), and the corresponding subscribers accept the message. Subscribers can accept only certain messages filtered on their contents and properties and also the publisher's type.

The message in BizTalk in most cases has the XML format. This condition is not obligatory, however XML allows to make easily interaction and transformation of messages between the different integrated applications.

Interaction with applications of BizTalk performs through the special components called by adapters. In a distribution kit with BizTalk already ready adapters for the main protocols and systems are delivered: FILE HTTP SOAP FTP POP3 SMTP SQL MSMQ MQSeries SharePoint. In addition to these adapters, from the official site of BizTalk can free of charge download LOB adapters to different the existing corporate systems, such as: SAP Microsoft Dynamics CRM Oracle and others. Developers of systems can also deliver adapters for integration with the systems.
