"Crocus" will construct the airport on Vostochny Cosmodrome for 28 billion rubles

In the middle of January, 2021 it became known of the prisoner Roskosmos and Crocus International company the construction contract of the first stage of the airport complex in the territory of Vostochny Cosmodrome. It is about the amount of 28.17 billion rubles.

According to RBC, Crocus were obtained by the contract to the state defense order without tender, as the only supplier. The first stage of construction should be completed by December 12, 2024. To the middle of January, 2021 the contractor started preparatory activities for deployment of works, reported the edition in Roskosmos.

The East airport complex will provide acceptance, the parking and sending aircrafts of internal and international aerial lines. It will also service passengers, loads and air transport on aircrafts of civil, state or experimental aviation. The building area of a complex will be 63,834 sq.m. The maximum goods turnover in a year is estimated at 20 thousand tons.

The second stage of construction of airfield will be performed during the period from 2026 to 2029, it is specified in the contract. How many it will precisely cost while it is unknown. However follows from the design assignment attached to the contract that the expected ceiling price of construction of the second stage of an object — 7 billion 408 million rubles. Thus, the total cost of construction of the airport complex in the territory of the spaceport can exceed 35 billion rubles, RBC notes.

According to an edition source, money for project implementation is selected from the federal budget. In particular, on accomplishment of the first stage of means will arrive within the FTP "Development of the spaceports for 2017-2025 …". At the second stage money will select within the Uniform state space program.^[1]
