2021: Acquisition by CentralNic

The British company CentralNic acquired the French corporate registrar SafeBrands. CentralNic - a player in the domain market. This was announced on January 14, 2021 by the Coordination Center of the national domain of the Internet (CC). The company provides a full range of services as a registrar and domain registrar, and also serves as a technical operator of domain zones, including, for example, for the national domains of Armenia.AM and Slovakia.SK.

SafeBrands declared herself in the French market. It is not only a corporate domain registrar, whose service is used by many large companies in the country, but also provides services to protect brands in the domain space. To this end, SafeBrands specialists have already developed several technological solutions that have been awarded various awards. So far, the company operates exclusively in the domestic market. But with the acquisition of the company CentralNic these technologies are expected to be brought into the world arena in the near future. The value of the transaction is 3.6 million euros.
