2022: The ability to use Shifton key functionality for small businesses for free

On February 4, 2022, Shifton, a provider of a cloud solution for working with employees (WFM system), announced that in 2022 it decided to meet small businesses. The company has created a free tariff that will help many companies overcome "moral" and material barriers, raise the level of personnel management.

Shifton has been on the market since 2019, providing services in many industries, from small coffee shops to large players in the retail market in Russia. In 2021, despite the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, a wave of mass layoffs of workers in all sectors took place in the United States and other countries of the world. As a recent MIT study has shown, a key factor for employee care is the company's toxic culture, opacity, and lack of effective employee communication tools. 

This once again proves that for a business (in any industry) it is important to establish a dialogue with employees, make the processes clear and transparent. And for this you need relevant tools.

Starting February 1, 2022, any company with up to 100 employees will be able to use the key functionality of shift planning, including locations, tags, mass actions and algorithms for automatic scheduling of work, for free. If the company has more than 100 employees, or additional modules are required, then payment will be made at the old rate.

In addition to the main one, the Shifton system has an expanded break planning functionality, which is quite popular in the field of contact centers, a system for accounting for the arrival and departure of employees, work with holidays and sick leave, as well as a system for accounting for salaries and bonuses. The latter module is widely used in the service sector, since it allows the business to be quite transparent to its employees in salary matters, and also works well as a motivation tool.

2021: Ability to create tasks by linking them to a client with multiple parameters

On January 19, 2021, it became known that the developers of the Shifton online service continue to improve the capabilities of a multifunctional online solution for schedule management and workflow control - Shifton.

So the company changed the approach to customer search and introduced a task module - in fact, mini-CRM inside the main system. This module allows you to create tasks by tying them to the client with a mass of parameters from the desired to the critical delivery time with attachment to a specific shift or in the form of a kind of "exchange lot" that the first free employee can take. According to the developers, this solution was developed specifically for enterprises that practice shift schedules of work related to the fulfillment of specific tasks - call centers, cleaning services, retail chains, support services.

The call center (approx. 400 employees), in which 3 people were responsible for scheduling, updating and compiling the schedule according to all needs, after connecting Shifton was able to reduce the number of employees involved to 1 person - the manager-administrator. This optimization became possible because all employees received the right to independently make changes to schedules, only accounting and control remained on the manager. In addition to optimizing labor costs, Shifton gave the call center a comprehensive picture of the planned expenses and salaries, which made it possible to reduce costs by 8% due to optimizing the working schedule of employees, "quotes Dmitry Polyanovsky, technical director of the Shifton project, as an example of using the platform.

The creators of the project note that Shifton solves the main problems of business in general and teamwork in particular, drawing up work schedules taking into account the needs of a particular company, the wishes of employees and the requirements of legislation depending on the country, which is especially important in the era of the pandemic and useful in remote work.

Shifton optimized the operation of the delivery service by creating an automatic schedule for the availability of employees, whose staff was significantly expanded due to the pandemic. Employees, most of whom worked remotely or were involved in project work on shifts, themselves noted in the schedule the availability time in the personal offices of the service.
