Konica Minolta submitted on January 19, 2021 the FORXAI platform for image processing. It is created based on Internet of Things and artificial intelligence and also patented by the company of technologies of visualization. The platform can be applied in different areas: production, marketing, agriculture, health care.

FORXAI is the cornerstone the technology of Konica Minolta integrating four achievements in the field of image processing, optics, work with materials and microprocessing. Together with AI and IoT it provides processing and image understanding in real time. Besides, the big role in creation of FORXAI was played by researches of the company in the field of the analysis of behavior of people and diagnostics.

The FORXAI platform helps to carry out remote monitoring: collect and analyze data, calculate risks and do forecasts. Analysis results are visualized in a convenient form.

The platform "takes" images and video, and then processes data retrieveds. Processing of the picture in real time takes place by means of peripheral calculations on the basis of AI. After that it is complemented due to cloud computing. At the same time algorithms of artificial intelligence can work also in "cloud".

The FORXAI platform is configured using software products which work on peripheral devices, peripheral computing systems and in "cloud". Thanks to artificial intelligence technologies and Internet of Things customers have an opportunity to work with additional functions for data collection, control of remote devices, updating of algorithms, image processing acceleration. Also functions for API- and SDK development extend.

Thus, the platform can be customized according to specific needs of the customer. As a result it helps to solve problems in the most different directions of business. For example, FORXAI is already used as an element of a system of "smart" agriculture on one of the Japanese farms. It helps to define as far as plants grew and whether they need processing that reduces load of employees.

Besides, the platform can ensure safety. For example, in Colorado State University it is used for visualization of the dangerous gases invisible to a human eye. Also FORXAI can be applied to contactless measurement, monitoring and visualization of body temperature.
