2021: Dating.com purchased Once

On January 19, 2021 the Dating Group company founded by the Russian entrepreneur Dmitry Volkov announced purchase of the competing project — Once. The cost of the transaction was $18 million. It will be paid with own means and the stocks Dating Group.

After closing of the transaction and change of the owner of Once by the company her co-founder and the CEO Klementin Laland will continue to direct. He hoped that its startup thanks to Dating Group will be able to expand a scope of users and fast to enter the new markets worldwide.

Dating.com purchased Once

In the press release on the occasion of the transaction it is noted that the artificial intelligence which analyzes the history of acquaintances and romantic preferences of users allowed Once to become the most popular deytingovy application in the field of "conscious" acquaintances in Western Europe, to come to operating profit and to achieve audience in 10 million users.

In Russia there are no Dating Group services. Dmitry Volkov explained it with the fact that Russians actively use a deyting, but pay for it reluctantly.
