Navicon completed an implementation project of MS Dynamics 365 Business Central in Simple Group

2020: Transition to MS Dynamics 365 Business Central

The system integrator and Navicon developer announced on January 25, 2021 program implementation of transition to the latest version of the ERP system by request of Simple Group – one of players in import of wine, hard alcoholic and soft drinks in Russia. 23 functional areas were transferred from the MS Dynamics NAV 2009 system to MS Dynamics 365 Business Central. In a project deliverable performance of the ERP solution Simple Group increased by 3-4 times, at the same time data loading speed from other systems increased by 30%. The project of transition was implemented in 15 months.

The field of work included such important processes as assortment management, warehouse transactions, stocks, a supply chain, budgeting, master data. A system also allowed to calculate KPI of employees and to conduct settlement with suppliers and clients. Preserving of earlier made investments became an important problem of implementation – they were converted into licenses of the updated ERP system. Also it was succeeded to transfer special completions of the Simple Group command among which there are pomarochny accounting, commodity planning, automatic calculation of actions.

In implementation process of the project we together with the Simple Group command solved a set of difficult and interesting problems. Considerable requirements to fault tolerance and performance were imposed to the ERP system from the customer. Besides, we needed to minimize risks of a stop of business at implementation and start of the solution, to ensure to users functioning with complete, reliable and exact data of management accounting. And integration opportunities of Business Central allowed us to provide also fast interaction of the platform with other business applications of Simple Group and external systems, – Sabrina Mironova, the head of the St. Petersburg branch of Navicon company noted.

The project substantially was implemented far off. Final stages – testing, start and debugging of a system – fell on the self-isolation period. Despite difficult working conditions, IT solution it was started in time, without failures and losses in business processes. By the end of the first month of work high-speed performance of the ERP system was brought to target indicators. In total more than 200 specialists worked on the project.
