2021: Position assignment of the minister of loneliness problems

In February, 2021 in Japan the position of the minister of loneliness problems appeared from behind growth of number of suicides in the country. Such decision was made by the prime minister and Yoshihide Suga.

According to the Nikkei edition, a situation in Japan it was aggravated because of psychological apathy against the background of COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. So, for the last 11 years by the end of 2020 the number of suicides grew by 3.7%, and all 20.9 thousand people, in the majority — women committed suicide for 2020.

The minister of affairs of recovery of life activity of regions Tetsusi Sakamoto is appointed the minister who will head fight against loneliness and isolation in the country. Among other duties he will have to trace a status of children's poverty in the country and coordinate the help to elderly. He will combine work on two posts.

According to Sakamoto, communications between people in society in the modern world were also so blurred, and the pandemic limited their contacts even more.

As for the purpose of this appointment, it is about the solution of public problems which are shown including because of aging of society with low birth rate. Also here the problem of suicides, first of all among women and youth belongs, - the secretary general of the Cabinet of Ministers Katsunobu Kato at a press conference in Tokyo reported on February 12, 2021.

Earlier the position of the minister of fight against loneliness was created in Britain. And at the beginning of February, 2021 possible organization of such position in Russia was declared by the speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko.
