Two-section electric bus 6245 "Pioneer max"

"PC Transport Systems" (PC TS) on September 6, 2021 presented an articulated electric bus 6245 of especially large capacity with night charging "Pioneer max." The electric bus was produced at its own sites "PC Transport Systems." The body was welded at the Engels Electric Transport Plant, the primary assembly was carried out at the Tver Mechanical Electric Transport Plant), and the final assembly at the Nevsky Electric Transport Plant in St. Petersburg.

The 6245 Pioneer max electric bus is spacious, environmentally friendly, has a high operational speed, and therefore high efficiency. At the same time, the vast majority of components were created by domestic companies. The body is made of their stainless steel, making it durable and durable. The interior of the electric bus is made of aluminum panels using hard-burning plastic, which makes it durable and fireproof. The car is able to change the perception of citizens about the level of comfort and safety of ground wheeled transport and, I am sure, will compete with a personal car, "said Felix Vinokur, president of PC Transport Systems.

This eighteen-meter fully low-floor machine has a range of more than 200 kilometers and is able to work on the route all day. Accumulators are charged at night in the electric bus park - within 6 hours.

The electric bus harmonica is designed for 140 people and is suitable for routes with high passenger traffic in large cities. 38 seats are equipped with individual heating, while Pioneer max is equipped with an electric climatic system. For the convenience of passengers, the cabin has three air conditioners, USB connectors for conventional and fast charging of mobile devices, multimedia complexes. The smoothness of the vehicle and the fast speed set guarantee two electric port bridges.

It was possible to increase the space in the cabin, including by placing proprietary traction batteries on the roof of the electric bus, which are equipped with an electric thermostat system. This ensures the operation of the batteries at different temperature differences - the electric bus can even work on the route during a full shift in severe frosts.

Low floor capacity and wide doorways provide high speed passenger traffic at stopping points. Door systems are equipped with an electric drive, address opening technology, intuitive lighting and an intelligent passenger safety system. The ease of entry and exit for all categories of citizens is provided by the knilling system (tilt of the bus towards the door). For families with children and special categories of citizens, there is a separate space equipped with everything necessary.

Tests of an articulated electric bus with night charging are planned to be carried out in the fall of 2021 in St. Petersburg.

Start of production of electric bus "Pioneer 6245" with night charging

In mid-February 2021, PC Transport Systems (PC TS) announced the start of production, according to the company, of Russia's first two-section electric bus with night charging. According to the developers, a model called "Pioneer 6245" will be able to drive without recharging throughout the day.

For six hours, the night charging of the electric bus battery will be enough for 200-250 km of mileage. At the same time, it will not be necessary to spend time replenishing the energy in the batteries at the final stops after the route.

To operate the new machine, it will be necessary to equip the electric bus fleet with a charging station, change the infrastructure to supply the charging stations with final stops, the manufacturer said.

The novelty is equipped with an electric climatic system, while many other electric buses use diesel stoves. There is a liquid cooling system and an electric port bridge that allows you to increase the space in the cabin. The electric bus is designed for the simultaneous presence of up to 150 passengers in the cabin.

The passengers of the Pioneer 6245 electric bus will be available with USB connectors, modern multimedia complexes and advanced climate control systems. To reduce the fire load, the interior will be made of aluminum alloys.

Low-floor rolling stock is designed primarily for transporting low-mobility groups of the population, for easy access to the passenger compartment with children.

No one has ever produced such equipment in Russia, "said Felix Vinokur, president of PC Transport Systems.

According to him, Russia follows a global trend and is switching to electric transport - it is building new tram systems, and buses will be replaced by electric buses.^[1]
