2021: Optimization of printing capacity in the St. Petersburg office

Konica Minolta on February 16, 2021 announced the completion of a project to optimize office printing capacity in the St. Petersburg office of Kronstadt Technologies JSC. Due to the installation of multifunctional devices and printing management software, the company's equipment fleet was reduced by 7.5 times, and service and maintenance costs by a quarter.

The key goal of the project was to optimize the printing infrastructure of both Kronstadt Technologiya JSC and its subsidiary, Kronstadt Navigation Systems of the Future LLC. Before the start of work, the fleet of equipment included 159 A3 and A4 format devices supplied by various vendors, and required updating.

Within the framework of the project, Konica Minolta specialists installed 21 multifunctional devices. Among them are nine monochrome bizhub 308e devices, eight monochrome bizhub 4052 devices and four full-color bizhub C250i models. The old equipment will be gradually decommissioned.

All multifunctional devices have the YSoft SafeQ 6 platform. It simplifies document processes and print management, and controls access to MFI functions.

In addition, the management of Kronstadt Technologiya, together with Konica Minolta specialists, developed a press policy and introduced a reporting system.

The company develops software and carries out projects within the framework of state programs. The quality of not only the development itself, but also the accompanying documentation that we issue to the customer is extremely important for us. That is why we decided not just to upgrade the hardware, but to globally change the approach to printing and scanning. I am sure that innovations will allow us to optimize a number of business processes and reduce the cost of servicing equipment and consumables, and long-term cooperation with Konica Minolta will continue beyond the scope of the concluded contract,
said Andrei Rodionov, General Director of Kronstadt Technologies JSC

When the print fleet is represented by devices from different suppliers, it is more difficult for them to manage - for example, buy consumables, deal with incidents. In addition, it almost always leads to inevitable cost increases. However, the management of Kronstadt Technologiya decided not just to optimize the printing infrastructure, but to transfer all concerns about technology to a single professional supplier of equipment and services. We are confident that due to the introduction of the incident processing and remote monitoring system, the provision of replacement equipment and 24/7 service, the business processes in the company will be even more efficient,
notes Denis Lychagin, head of customer service at Konica Minolta Business Solutions Russia.
