The State Archive of the Lipetsk Region, founded in 1919, is the archive of the region that has been storing valuable documents on the history of the Lipetsk Territory since the 17th century. As of February 2021, 2,408 archive funds are concentrated in the institution, which is 531,371 thousand storage units. The earliest document dates back to 1649 - this is the inscription of Grigory Pertsev from the refused books about the estate of Semenov of the Zasosensky camp of the Yelets district.
