The consulting company WillMore announces end of the main stage of implementation of Microsoft Dynamics NAV EXPRESS in IM Logistics company.
The IM Logistics company provides delivery services of orders for online stores since 2007. Thanks to the competent organization and high quality of the provided services the number of online stores which would wish to cooperate with IM Logistics constantly grows. Considering needs of the clients and predicting growth of the business, the company management of IM Logistics made the decision to pass to a new system as opportunities of the existing accounting system were exhausted. After the market research the choice was stopped on the system of Microsoft Dynamics NAV EXPRESS which main advantage are smoothly running settings of the module of inventory management and a possibility of expansion of functionality in process of business growth.
Consolidation of all processes of a company performance in a common information space became a key project objective of implementation of Microsoft Dynamics NAV EXPRESS. In particular, the company management of IM Logistics was faced by the following tasks of process automation:
- order taking and preparation of routes;
- the organization of logistics of orders in a warehouse;
- preparation of the report by couriers on delivered orders;
- management of finance.
The implementation project of Microsoft Dynamics NAV EXPRESS was performed in short terms – in three months. With system implementation of Microsoft Dynamics NAV EXPRESS in IM Logistics company all business processes significantly accelerated.
Today order taking for a courier delivery is organized automatically: all requests are processed and separated into loaded and not loaded (in case of the mistakes made at execution of requests by the staff of Intenet-shops, or at return of the order). Earlier old accounting system allowed to load only manually each request separately. Process of assignment of routes to orders remained the same and is organized using integration of Microsoft Dynamics NAV EXPRESS into the Antor system.
The logistics of orders in a warehouse is organized using the system of barcoding. When loading requests unique number (barcode) is assigned to each order. In the course of booking for a warehouse for each order the barcode which is printed from the system of Microsoft Dynamics NAV EXPRESS is pasted. After obtaining number of a route and determination of the courier from the Antor system all data come to the system of Microsoft Dynamics NAV EXPRESS. As soon as the responsible courier is appropriated to all orders, all marked orders can be decomposed on cells of couriers. This problem is solved with the help of the data collection terminals working on WiFi and specially developed program for terminals. Terminals address directly the system of Microsoft Dynamics NAV EXPRESS and by the barcode issue the courier's Full Name. It should be noted that the addressing the database of Microsoft Dynamics NAV EXPRESS provides the most up-to-date information, considering that numbers of routes can change. After shipment orders are delivered by couriers that also finds reflection in a system. In any timepoint can be defined location of any order.
Besides, in Microsoft Dynamics NAV EXPRESS business processes of settlings with debtors and creditors and also process of the report of the courier on deliveries are automated.
Using Microsoft Dynamics NAV EXPRESS the majority of the problems determined by company management of IM Logistics is solved. Already now it is possible to speak about the first results, in particular, capacity of order processing grew to 4,000 in day when before 2,000 orders was considered as a critical indicator. Considering that all business processes are automated and are fulfilled quicker, than in the previous accounting system, the IM Logistics company has additional resources for involvement of new clients, and further development of a system will help to grow to the existing business.
