2021: Announcement of a platform that works as an MRI for the immune system

At the end of February 2021, startup Ozette founded in 2020, received $6 million in seed funding from Madrona Venture Group AI and the Allen Institute. Ozette created an immune monitoring platform based on technologies developed by Fred Hutchinson. It will allow you to extract the necessary information from an array of data on individual cells and thereby optimize treatment and improve disease outcomes.

Ozette's goal is to automate a manual, time-consuming cell analysis process that takes several months, and ultimately create targeted therapies based on the profile of the human immune system. The Ozette platform must provide all necessary data and reproducible experiments, regardless of equipment.

The Ozette platform can be represented as an MRI of the immune system, "explained Ali Ansary, one of the founders of the startup. - Where MRI provides us with detailed images of anatomical structures, our technology talks about the patient's immune system at the individual cell level. Such detailing makes treatment safer, faster, and more personalized.

It is believed that the introduction of big data analytics in medical organizations in the coming years could lead to a reduction in annual costs by more than 25%. More accurate diagnosis and prediction of diseases with artificial intelligence and analytics can reduce costs, including by reducing the number of repeated hospitalizations.

Ozette said it is collaborating with a number of biopharmaceutical companies, as well as companies that are developing new treatments at immuno-oncology and cancer centers. They will help the startup collect the necessary primary data for analysis.[1]
