"White Giving Trading" completed a BI project implementation project

The NaviCon company completed the first stage of the project on creation of an automated system of financial management of White Giving company. The optimized technique of financial management by the company became result of works.

"White Giving Trading" - the leader in production and supply of salads, vegetables and fruit, ready to the use. The company is an exclusive supplier of fresh salad products in all restaurants McDonald's in Russia. Clients of the company are the largest network restaurants and supermarkets – Auchan, Intersection, Seventh Continent, Alphabet of Taste, etc.

Business growth, plans for its further expansion naturally led to the fact that the effective objective of creation of an effective automated system of corporate management was shareholders of the company. For achievement of this purpose before starting directly automation, it was required to carry out a number of tasks:

• design the system of budget management focused on achievement of strategic KPI of business;
• optimize algorithms of planning and calculation of cost value;
• finish the system of operational management of cash flows;
• create a single system of the corporate reporting and analysis;
• work internal procedures and regulations.

The solution of all these tasks became possible, thanks to joint work of financial specialists of the customer and consultants of integrator. Importance of joint efforts when developing a control technique was noted by Andrey Gvoskov, the consultant, the manager of projects of practice of BPM solutions of NaviCon Group company: "This project visually showed what results can be achieved, using synergy effect of interaction of project experience of the consultant and profound knowledge of the business by the customer".

As Vladimir Chernukhov, the head of White Giving Trading finance division considers: "The stage of joint development of methodology was very useful since allowed us to look in a new way at internal business processes of the company and, as a result, it is essential to improve them. There are all bases to believe that the methodology created during the first stage of the project will allow to manage in the future the company much more effectively".

For automation of a management system for the customer the decision on implementation of the IBM Cognos Planning software products for planning and forecasting, financial modeling and also IBM Cognos for formation of a system of the management reporting and the analysis, control of KPI of business was made. The automated system will be gradually created, with step-by-step start of functional units in operation. Thus, the system created "on paper" will become the real instrument of management and shareholders of the company. Insert not formatted text here.

Project Completion

On June 29, 2011 the companies announced project completion.

Amendments

The project on creation of a system of financial management was performed in two stages.

On the first – joint efforts of specialists of the customer and IT consultant improved methodology of management. Within works were created:

• budget model;
• budget regulations;
• the corporate system of the management reporting is designed;
• mechanisms of interaction of budget model and the block Treasury are developed;
• the model of planning and the analysis of cost value is designed;
• the normative reference information is significantly finished.

Automation of the created model is performed based on the products IBM Cognos. So, for planning and forecasting and also financial modeling the solution IBM Cognos 8 Planning is used. On the basis of IBM Cognos BI the system of the management reporting and analysis is prepared and also control of achievement of indicators of KPI is exercised.
