2021: Launch in Russia

At the end of February 2021, the founder of the dating site Badoo Andrei Andreev officially launched Russia Stereo into the audio broadcast service, which is similar to the rapidly gaining popularity of the Clubhouse social network.

Users of the service, as in Clubhouse, can conduct audio broadcasts in real time. However, in Stereo you can also record conversations and receive reports from listeners.

I thought that audio space is perhaps the only market where no one has tried anything today, where there is no competition and absolutely unlimited scale. I understood that in this market I do not climb to compete with someone, and move someone from already abrupt positions, "Andreev told Forbes magazine.

The founder of Badoo launched a rival Clubhouse in Russia - the Stereo application

According to Andreev, Stereo will provide creators with the opportunity to monetize content in the form of paid strips or donates. And in the next couple of months, Stereo will begin to withhold the commission as a fee for the infrastructure that it provides to content creators to make money.

The entrepreneur said that by February 2021 Stereo has more than a million users on iOS and the same number on Android. The audience of the application is growing daily for more than 50 thousand people.

Andreev said that in this business he has no financial partners, only the team.

After the deal with Blackstone [the sale of a stake in the MagicLab to the American Blackstone Fund in November 2019 - approx. TAdviser], I do not have a financing issue, and I now evaluate Stereo as a project that can grow several times larger than the previous business, says Andreev.[1][2]
