2024: Head of the International Boxing Association Umar Kremlev takes ownership of 50% of AVA Group

On September 19, 2024, Umar Kremlev, president of the International Boxing Association (IBA), became a co-owner of the large construction holding AVA Group, signing an agreement to acquire a 50% stake in the company. The agreement was reached jointly with AVA Group President Vagan Arutyunyan and provides for equal ownership and joint investments in future projects of the holding. The new deal between the Kremlin and Harutyunyan provides for the expansion of AVA Group's activities at the federal level and an increase in investments in existing and future projects of the company. Although the exact amount of the transaction has not been disclosed, shareholders declare their intention to scale projects nationally and improve investment efficiency.

The Kremlin team, on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin, together with the Kurchatov Institute, the Russian Academy of Sciences and other scientific organizations, is implementing the Big Serpukhov project. As part of this project, it is planned to create scientific centers and high-tech industries in the Moscow region. AVA Group is one of the key partners in the construction of Naukograd on the territory of Serpukhov, Pushchino and Protvino. In addition to scientific centers, the project provides for the construction of affordable housing, the preservation of cultural heritage sites, as well as the creation and development of recreational and leisure areas.[1]
