2021: Creation of a device for contactless examination and treatment of breast neoplasms in the Russian Federation

On March 1, 2021, it became known about the creation by the Novosibirsk Instrument-Making Plant (refinery, part of the Schwabe holding) of a device for contactless research and treatment of breast neoplasms.

Novelty represents patient's breast fixator. Milk iron is fixed by means of two compression U-shaped frames, which are fixed to each other by support elements with contact plates. Through a special hole of the upper element, immersion liquid is supplied inside the retainer, which is necessary for further procedures with an ultrasonic tool. The patient is sitting at a table in a multifunctional chair.

The lower compression element is split. Due to this, the versatility of the device is increased and the time for its preparation between procedures is reduced. The removable contact plate can be changed to sterile after each patient, and to replace the damaged contact plate, it is not necessary to disassemble the device, the developers note.

According to them, in the hole of the upper element there is an elastic insert in the form of a hollow cylinder, which does not allow the immersion liquid to flow, which ensures a long and safe conduct of the procedure. In this case, given the anatomical shape of the breast, depending on its size and the localization of the formation, the location of the hole can change.

The general director of the refinery Vasily Rassokhin noted the accelerated process of fixing the device, which does not cause the patient extra discomfort. The first pair of support elements is made in arched form, the second - in the form of posts with through holes. This allows you to smoothly, without skewing and jamming, move the upper compression element relative to the lower one, he explained.[1]
