2021: License revocation

In March, 2021 the Central Bank revoked the license from the Cheboksary bank "Megapolis"[1]which was served by Nikita Mikhalkov's Russian Culture Fund. The latter became the center of expertise of the Ministry of Culture and in January 2020 received 2.8 billion rubles from the budget.

This is not the first time the fund has chosen banks for work, from which licenses are subsequently revoked. Among them are Incarobank, Moscow Lights and VSB. Megapolis was included in the group of banks Ilya Kligman.

As of March 2021, the owners of the bank were:

  • Russian Trading Network - 9.93%
  • Demin Alexey Viktorovich - 9.04%
  • Gordeeva Elena Mikhailovna - 8.93%
  • Euro-Kars 2 - 8.92%
  • Panferov Evgeny Anatolyevich - 8.68%
  • Masanov Igor Nikolaevich - 8.62%
  • Eurocars - 8.56%
  • TPC Intertrade - 8.36%
  • Ronda PCF - 8.36%
  • Fomina Irina Valerievna - 5.51%
  • Sayapina Natalya Sergeevna - 4.81%

LLC KB Megapolis was registered by the Bank of Russia on August 9, 1995. Basic license No. 3265 of the Bank of Russia of 22.10.2018 for banking operations with funds in rubles and foreign currency (with the right to attract individuals to deposits) and to attract precious metals to deposits and placement. It is included in the register of banks participating in the system of compulsory deposit insurance (certificate No. 352 of December 23, 2004).
