At that time, Honduras was the 34-country in which the Russian vaccine COVID-19 was registered. By March 10, the number of states increased to 48.

Sputnik V was the second drug to create immunity to COVID-19, which is purchased by the country. In February 2021, Honduran Foreign Minister Lisandro Rosales spoke about the country's plans to purchase 70 thousand doses of Sputnik V.

Honduras was also donated about 5 thousand doses of the Moderna vaccine, intended for medical personnel. This shipment was delivered from Israel, which shares surplus drugs with some countries.^[1][2]
