Slovak Prime Minister Igor Matovich thanked Krajci for his work as Minister of Health and called his resignation "the most absurd in history."

I do not know anyone in our government or among our other colleagues who would work harder and more than him, trying to protect the health and life of the Slovaks, "Matovich said.

The supply of Russian coronavirus vaccine has led to serious political disagreements within the country. Slovak Foreign Minister Ivan Korchok condemned the Prime Minister, who personally met the first party at the airport. The president of the country, Zuzana Chaputova, also opposed the use of the Sputnik V vaccine. Then Matovich was put forward an ultimatum: either the continuation of coalition cooperation, or the resignation of the head of the Ministry of Health, who issued permission to use Sputnik V.

The first batch of Sputnik V was delivered to Slovakia on March 1, 2021. The use of the Russian vaccine, as Kraichi previously stated, should begin in the second half of March. Two of the four parties of the country's government coalition oppose the use of the drug without registration with the European Medicines Agency (EMA).

On March 4, Slovak politicians welcomed the start of the Sputnik V examination at EMA. Matovich recommended that EMA during the pandemic switch to a round-the-clock mode of operation in order to accelerate the process of registering vaccines in the European Union.^[1]
