Digital solutions introduced into the regional management system of the Murmansk region help to quickly eliminate the consequences of bad weather in Murmansk and other settlements. This was announced on March 11, 2021 by RIR (Rusatom Infrastructure Solutions).

In February-March 2021, a significant amount of precipitation fell in the region. At the end of February, the amount of snow that fell tripled the average, in the first days of March - more than half of the monthly norm. Due to bad weather, on March 2, a high-alert regime was introduced in Murmansk, ZATO Aleksandrovsk and Severomorsk.

The consequences of the elements were eliminated using the necessary communal equipment, and coordination of work was carried out using an intellectual street cleaning control system. This is one of the modules of a single digital regional management platform created with the participation of Rusatom Infrastructure Solutions JSC (RIR, part of the Rosatom State Corporation). The system allows the operator to accurately see where the equipment is, at what speed it works, receive cleaning reports and coordinate the movement of equipment, including based on the signals of the townspeople on the Our North platform and on social networks entering the Regional Control Center.

The peak in the number of reports of uncleaned snow occurred on March 3, when 497 calls were received per day. Thanks to constant monitoring and feedback from residents, we could more accurately allocate the resources of public utilities and more effectively combat the consequences of the disaster, "said Alexandra Nikipelova, Deputy Minister of Digital Development of the Murmansk Region.

Street cleaning control is only one of the services of a single digital platform for managing the region. The complex still includes a portal for feedback to residents of Our North, investment and tourist portals, an intelligent system for accounting for the construction, repair, maintenance of courtyards, public territories, urban facilities located in the Murmansk region. It is possible to add digital services depending on the needs of the region.

A single digital platform for managing the region provides the work of the regional government: collecting and analyzing information, interacting with residents and business, increasing the investment and tourist attractiveness of the region. Data from all systems are sent to the platform, it collects, summarizes and analyzes information from various sources - departmental information systems of the region, electronic databases and others.
