2016: FlexPLM 11

In May, 2016 there was a version of the solution of PTC company - PTC FlexPLM 11 for product lifecycle management (PLM) in the field of retail, a fashion, footwear, clothes and consumer goods. It provides visualization and coherence between consumers, goods, shops, developers and supply chains, also communication with the PTC ThingWorx platform allows to manage complete product lifecycle using such opportunities as the role applications (created on the basis of the functions executed by a specific role).

In PTC FlexPLM 11 there were role applications and other design tools increasing performance. Role applications improve user interaction by providing the necessary enrollment of data on a product and the corresponding opportunities to all interested persons.

In the summer of 2016 a number of applications, such as design tools of Adobe Illustrator (AI) Design Tools and packet of Tech Pack Apps will enter a line of FlexPLM.

Function of fixing of panels which provides the optimized representation of technical data of product lines is presented in the solution PTC FlexPLM 11 and supports fixing of columns and their headings. It does convenient viewing during the choice, sortings, filterings and information displays and also in the course of mass making changes.

PTC FlexPLM 11 supports PTC ThingWorx technology which integrates the data arriving from physical products from Internet resources and corporate information systems. Functions the coherences inherent in ThingWorx allow the companies to develop applications which integrate, store and set interrelations between data and actions of people, systems and things. Data on processes, supply chains, costs and diagrams of implementation are presented in the evident form and in necessary volume that simplifies decision making.

PTC FlexPLM 11 also includes web services RESTful that opens following features for partners and clients of PTC:

• integration into third-party client programs;
• retail solutions for management of the connected shops (CSM);
• integration with external systems, such, as ERP system and planning;

Integration into the solution Performance Advisor for PTC Windchill representing a dashboard for monitoring of the equipment and the software and management of them allows administrators to estimate far off a condition of the circle of users worldwide and to optimize performance of their systems, to increase performance of end users and to reduce costs for IT support. The version of PTC FlexPLM 11 also includes a set of improvements for the center of support, such as calendars, settings of properties and documentation on REST API.
