On March 11, 2021, John Deere introduced an updated series of 9R tractors: the central models of the line were 9R 640 and 9RX 640 with a capacity of 691 liters. from. Both machines, as well as the 9RT model, are characterized not only by proper performance, but also by technological solutions.
According to the company, two types of engines are installed on tractors: models up to 640 liters. from. equipped with 13.6-liter John Deere engines. Models with a capacity of above 640 liters. from. driven by a 15-liter Cummins engine. This six-cylinder 13.6-liter engine with an injection system with a common fuel ramp is designed to work more efficiently and reduce noise by 50%.
To transfer power from the engine, all models are equipped with additional ballasting options that allow you to achieve a ballast weight of 30.4 tons. The e18 transmission, bridges, caterpillar drives and chassis were significantly strengthened to increase load capacity and productivity.
The standard configuration includes a StarFire 6000 receiver along with a large CommandCenter 4600 display, full compatibility with AEF ISOBUS and AutoTrac activation. You can also add a complete activation package that provides maximum automation. The package includes Turn Automation roundabout automation, section management, entry rate management, Implementation Guidance passive maintenance system, field communication, John Deere machine synchronization, and AutoPath.
The AutoSetup John Deere feature allows farmers and contractors to plan in advance to work in the customer's personalized Operations Center. When the machine appears on the field, this plan automatically appears on the display in the cockpit, and the operator can only press the button to confirm. The system supports such parameters as the client, a farm, the field, borders of the field, a caterpillar, equipment width/shift, products, norms of introduction, introduction parameters for the concrete site, setting up documentation and a name of the operator.
Once finished, all data is transmitted wirelessly to Operations Center. The AutoSetup solution not only saves up to 90% of the time for making settings in the field, but also allows you to accurately document and avoid errors and data loss .
Driving comfort is provided by individually designed suspension systems for the 9R, 9RT and 9RX and an updated cab. The John Deere HydraCushion front axle suspension system is now available in all 9R models. The 2nd generation ActiveSeat seat with leather trim is equipped with a heating system, massage function and various adjustable settings. The cockpit also has a DAB + audio system with a 6.5-inch touchscreen.
In order for farmers to reduce maintenance costs, many inter-service intervals have been increased - for example, the fan and torsional damper are now serviced every 5000 hours. John Deere's standard factory warranty is also increased to two years, or 2000 hours. Additionally, additional PowerGard Protection/Plus warranty renewal conditions extend warranty service to eight years, or 8000 hours, resulting in savings of up to 40%.
