Atos Upgrades SAP Cloud IT Infrastructure for Inchcape

Atos, an international representative in the field of digital transformation, March 16, 2021 announced the modernization of the IT company's complex. As Inchcape part of the implemented project cloudy IT Infrastructure , the customer was improved with the help of migration-platforms SAP from Great Britain to to Russia main and Atos reserve DPCs.

During the migration of the IT complex, Atos made a technical move of the customer's SAP systems from the Itanium architecture to the x86 platform based on BullSequana S servers. In addition, a disaster tolerance solution was implemented, which in case of critical situations allows you to quickly transfer all the necessary data from the main data center to the backup data center, thereby ensuring the continuity of business processes.

During the work on the project, cross-functional interaction between the Russian and international teams Atos and Inchcape was organized, which contributed to improving communication between offices and expanding local expertise.

During the modernization of the IT complex, it was possible to reduce the number of servers, which reduced the cost of servicing them. 7 physical and 53 virtual servers located on them on 8 landscapes were connected to the updated Inchcape infrastructure. 11 terabytes of data were transferred to the installed servers.
