On March 17, 2021, Korus Consulting Group announced the connection of a large supplier of engineering systems of Prokonsim Group of Companies to its own Corus: Inventory Management cloud service. The IT solution allowed the distributor to optimize the load in the procurement department and accelerate the approval of orders by 3 times. As of March 2021, the company saves up to 30% of working hours to plan replenishment in the central distribution warehouse.

Proconsim Group is a comprehensive supplier of pipeline valves, engineering systems, plumbing and heating equipment in Russia and the CIS countries. As of March 2021, the company has more than 25 thousand square meters. m2 of warehouse space, the processes of the central distribution center are automated using the Manhattan SCALE platform from Manhattan Associates, a representative of the WMS market. Inventory management took place through the management system and the model developed in it, partly through Excel. However, neither the first nor the second solutions could provide the task with speed and flexibility. With the growth of the business, it became necessary to respond faster to changes in demand in order to replenish goods in distribution centers in a timely manner. To do this, it was decided to automate inventory management.

Prokonsim connected to the service according to the SaaS model, which allowed it to be integrated with the Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision) account within a month and adjusted to take into account all the nuances: distance from the central warehouse, shipment frequency, order periods, accounting for implementations for each branch separately and others. KORUS Consulting trained Prokonsim users to work in the system for 2 months.

After the first months of using the service, Prokonsim carried out several important organizational changes, redistributed the load and responsibilities of staff in the procurement department. The company completely abandoned calculations in Excel tables to replenish the central warehouse, and now only one employee is organizing order calculations. Demand analysis and inventory planning are much faster - business saves up to 30% of the time that has been spent on these tasks before.

Thanks to process standardization and automation, order alignment has accelerated 3 times without losing quality management. This time takes into account the work of managers and employees who make calculations and make changes. As of March 2021, KORUS: Inventory Management processes 95% of the items in the central warehouse, for regional divisions - up to 40% of the item items.
