Exactly six months [after vaccination], my protective credits dropped, and experts recommended a revaccination procedure, which I did a few days ago... At first he did it in the form of an injection, and the day after talking with Denis Yuryevich [the deputy head of the Gamalei center for scientific work Denis Logunov] he himself, by the way, did me the second part of this procedure, namely this nasal powder, "the president said.

He explained that the powder preparation is taken in the same way as nasal spray.

It's just the same syringe, only instead of the liquid substance he [Logunov] picked up powder, asked to breathe deep into the score three, shook on the one hand, on the other hand, "Putin explained.

The head of the Hamalei Center, Alexander Ginzburg, previously said that the nasal vaccine is the second component of Sputnik V, created for spraying into the nose. In October, the Ministry of Health allowed testing the nasal form of the vaccine on volunteers during the second phase of trials of the new form of the drug. The research will last until December 2023, 500 volunteers will take part in them.[1]

Gamalea Center: Sputnik V and revaccination with a nasal drug will protect 100% from coronavirus

At the end of October 2021, the Gamalei National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology announced that the use of Sputnik V and subsequent revaccination with a nasal drug would provide 100% protection against not only the severe course of coronavirus (COVID-19) infection, but also against infection with this virus in principle. Start of clinical trials of internasal form of Satellite V vaccine

This is certainly a very gentle and convenient form of vaccination of children, especially young children... I think that this year we will start and finish the internasal clinic, "said Alexander Ginzburg, director of the center, at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on vaccination against coronavirus on March 22, 2021.

As the scientist noted, children for vaccination should be divided into several age groups.

It is necessary to start from the age, of course, 17-12 or 13 years. The next group will probably be up to eight years. Then eight, and then I find it difficult to predict this, probably three or four years, "explained Ginzburg.

He also suggested that further could also lower the age threshold for vaccination. Ginzburg noted that the nasal form of the vaccine is devoid of side effects.

By March 22, 2021, the Gamalei Center is preparing documents for the study of Sputnik V on children.

Ginzburg noted that children are also infected with coronavirus and it is now unknown what distant consequences after infection they will experience. Vaccination of children is a problem that has already faced the world community, he said.

In early February 2021, the Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov announced that research on the coronavirus drug in the form of nasal drops will begin in April. At the same time, the mayor Moscow Sergey Sobyanin said that this type of Sputnik V will not replace full-fledged vaccination, but will be useful as an additional form of protection.[2]
