2021: Implementation of the Route Building Program

On March 23, 2021, Antor announced the introduction of a program to build routes for the Russian Fish Company.

With the implementation of the program, the logist has time for another job

To do this, the project participants on both sides had to go a difficult way and agree on several versions of the TK.

Before the start of the implementation, an analysis of business processes was carried out at one of the Customer's sites and the requirements for the work of the logistics and program when constructing routes were announced. It was decided to automate the process as much as possible.

The complexity was to take into account several factors at the same time:

• availability of "travel flights" to neighboring areas and local delivery;
• 2 incompatible cargo categories: freezing (- 18˚S) and cooling (- 5˚S... - 2˚S);
• different categories of customers with individual delivery rules;
• fully hired transport with the need to calculate the cost of the flight.

To solve the problem, ANTOR specialists wrote a special scenario for automatically compiling routes in the program, after which the logician can only check the result and make a minimum of edits where required. A script in several steps generates flights that meet all the specified conditions.

Thanks to this, RRK logistics can entrust the program with drawing up freight routes and, instead of manual work, focus on other tasks: preparing documentation, working with carriers, monitoring delivery and analyzing costs.

After checking the planning results in 2 regions, it was decided to scale the project throughout the geography of the company's presence.

Plans for further cooperation include the introduction of a mobile application for controlling delivery drivers and automation of carrier selection when integrating with the service of one of ANTOR's partners.
