Shvabe Holding of Rostec State Corporation and the Russian group of IT companies LANIT have entered into a strategic partnership agreement. The collaboration aims to implement PLM-based PLM technologies. This was announced by LANIT on March 26, 2021.

Enterprises of the optical industry as part of Schwabe will receive comprehensive support from LANIT during the transition to digital technologies for the development, technological preparation and production of products, as well as in the field of modernization of the information infrastructure and end-to-end automation of the holding's enterprises.

The parties intend to build digital design processes on the principle of using an electronic layout of the product - the original design documentation. Digital production preparation will be carried out using three-dimensional product models with the development of interactive documentation and simulation of technological processes.

The digital transformation will also cover the holding's production processes in terms of production planning, optimization of production load and monitoring of industrial equipment. To solve these problems, it is planned to introduce special systems in Schwab.

The holding notes that the use of advanced approaches in the development, manufacture and subsequent maintenance of products produced at the Schwabe production sites will preserve the high quality of products in the optical, medical and other industries and will ensure faster launch of various types of products, some of which have no analogues in the world.

Strategic partnership with LANIT, which has experience in methodological and practical support of large enterprises in building digital development and production processes, guarantees the timely and complete achievement of the goals of the Schwabe digital transformation.
