2021: Presentation of the navigation and telecommunication system for the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation

The holding "" of Roselektronika the State Corporation Rostec on March 26, 2021 presented a comprehensive project to create high-precision navigation and telecommunication system for. Arctic zone RUSSIAN FEDERATION The solution works steadily in difficult physical and geographical conditions of the circumpolar regions, is resistant to cyber attacks to and provides continuous control of the location of ships.

The surveillance, navigation and communication system proposed by PJSC Inteltekh of the Roselectronika holding for operation in the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation is a complex of stationary and mobile radio engineering posts. Each post consists of several subsystems that provide work simultaneously in dozens of directions. The observation subsystem monitors the ice, hydrometeorological, radiation, seismic situation in real time. Telecommunication subsystem - communication in the VHF and HF bands, through VOLS, satellite, meteor and tropospheric communication channels. Navigation subsystem provides control of vessel location by satellite or terrestrial radio navigation systems.

{{quote 'One of the key directions of the development of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation is the formation of an effective infrastructure of the Northern Sea Route. The solution we presented will allow customers in difficult Arctic conditions to solve communication, navigation-hydrographic and hydrometeorological support problems of the northern waters with minimum costs, reduce navigation and environmental risks, improve the quality of management of territorial objects and systems of the Arctic zone, "said Yuri Nikolashin, General Director of Inteltekh PJSC. }}

The federal project "Northern Sea Route" as part of the "Comprehensive Plan for the Modernization and Development of Backbone Infrastructure" provides for the development of seaports and terminals, the rescue and auxiliary fleet, navigation-hydrographic and hydrometeorological support for shipping, the development of energy capacities, the safety of navigation and communications, the development of domestic shipbuilding, environmental safety, modernization of the airport economy, and the expansion of the network of meteorological observation stations.
