The Linzmaster network placed ERP in "cloud"

The network the optician Linzmaster switched to the ERP system of Oracle E-Business Suite in May, 2010. An ERP system is placed in "cloud": data center of Croc company. The companies report that implementation of an information system cost to Linzmaster by 10 times cheaper, than was planned. Serious economy was reached thanks to virtual space in which the ERP system was created.

In the project progress for 7 months of implementation virtual computing resources were used, and in the long term more profitable to the company was placement of a system in the outsourcing center. After active project stage Linzmaster transferred the developed complex to a hardware platform in data center of the company integrator.

The virtualization of infrastructure for development of the ERP system of Oracle E-Business Suite which was carried out along with implementation of this complex is performed on the basis of technologies of VMware company. As the platform the blade servers of IBM and storage system — IBM DS4700 were selected.

"Virtual resources helped Linzmaster to solve effectively a problem of creation of a resource-intensive ERP system, without spending funds for computing powers which will not be useful in the near future, will take the place in our computer center, to spend the electric power and to become outdated.
