2021: 7.5 years in prison for bribes from students
At the end of March 2021, the former head of the department of Smolensk State Medical University, Anastasia Kiselyova, was sentenced to 7.5 years in prison for bribes from students.
For the commission of crimes under paragraph "a" of part 5 of Art. 290 (28 episodes), part 3 of Art. 290 of the Criminal Code, by virtue of part 3 of Art. 69 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation by partial addition of sentences, the sentence was finally sentenced to seven years and six months in prison in a penal colony of general regime, - said in the message of the Industrial District Court of Smolensk, which sentenced. The teacher will begin to serve his sentence when her child reaches the age of 14 years. |
As the court found, the former head of the department of the Smolensk State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation in 2017, together with her colleague, received bribes from students of the 4th and 5th courses of the correspondence form for organizing the successful passing of exams and put satisfactory marks in the examination lists. At the same time, in fact, the level of knowledge of students was not checked. The average amount of bribe was 15 thousand rubles.
Earlier, a teacher at the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharmacognosy with a course of pharmacy of additional professional training of the same university was found guilty of committing 28 episodes of crimes under Part 5 of Art. 290 of the Criminal Code, she received five years in prison conditionally.
Another person involved in the case - Dean Anna Krikova - pleaded guilty and made a deal with the investigation. In 2018, she was fined 250 thousand rubles, and she continued to work at the medical university.
According to the investigation, the criminal plan was born not to the head of the Faculty of Pharmacy, but to her colleague, a senior teacher. The prerequisite was the appointment of the dean as deputy chairman of the certification commission of the faculty of additional vocational education in a number of popular specialties, including "Management and Economics of Pharmacy" and "Pharmacy."[1]
