2021: Participation in Medical Software Fraud Case

In the Amur Region opened a criminal case on fraud in the supply of medical software. This was reported in the prosecutor's office of the region at the end of March 2021.

A criminal case has been opened on fraud on an especially large scale within the framework of the national project "Healthcare," the organization illegally received more than a million rubles in payment for actually unfulfilled work, the supervisory authority said.

The case was opened after the prosecutor's office of Blagoveshchensk checked the implementation of legislation during the implementation of the national project "Healthcare." It was established that in 2020, the Amur Regional Tuberculosis Dispensary and the Amur Regional Children's Medical Rehabilitation Center Nadezhda entered into state contracts with an unnamed company for the installation of medical information systems and their integration and overpaid for work.

In violation of the law, one of the leaders of the organization submitted to the customers for payment executive documentation compiled on the basis of inaccurate information about the actual work performed. So, for the actually unfulfilled work, the company received more than 1 million rubles. At the same time, it is not specified which software was included in the purchase.

A criminal case has been opened under the article "Fraud on an especially large scale" (part 4 of article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), under which he faces a sentence of imprisonment of up to 10 years with a fine of up to 1 million rubles. The investigation of this criminal case by the end of March 2021 is under the control of the prosecutor's office.^[1]
