2021: Announcement of M.Vision X - unmanned vehicle with displays in glass

At the end of March 2021, Hyundai Mobis (a subsidiary of Hyundai Motor) introduced the unmanned vehicle M.Vision X. Its distinctive feature is the ability to use car glazing as displays, as well as supporting contactless communication through gestures.

The four-seater car M.Vision X involves individual display control. Several screens are installed in the windows of the vehicle. Some passengers can use the display as a transparent window and enjoy the surrounding scenery, while others can use it as a screen to watch a movie. Passengers can change the position and direction of seats depending on needs.

The main solution of M.Vision X is a cockpit in the center of the cabin (M.VICS: MOBIS Vision of Integrated Cockpit System), which looks like a square column. On each of the four sides of the integrated control system is a 28-inch display. Thanks to this technology, passengers can control the vehicle using gesture recognition functions. Thus, passengers can control all functions related to the operation of the car, for example, autonomous driving mode, AI speakers and an infotainment system. All key developments of Hyundai Mobis are concentrated in this system: driver assistance systems (ADAS), biometric authentication and the Blooming Sound audio system.

There is another distinguishing feature of M. Vision X - a disinfection function that uses ultraviolet light to automatically disinfect a car after passengers leave the car.
