2021: Improving Supply Chain Risk Management
On April 5, 2021, Accenture announced that in partnership with Ripjar, a British data analytics company, it had launched a project for Royal Dutch Shell to improve the risk management system in supply chains based on artificial intelligence technologies.
Shell uses Accenture's industrial expertise and expertise in risk management, as well as Ripjar's AI technology to analyze supply chains. The findings will improve the quality and effectiveness of contractor risk assessment. In addition, the use of AI will reduce the number of errors in reporting by more than 80%.
By embedding the solution into Shell's cloud infrastructure with Microsoft Azure, Accenture can scale and reduce costs. In addition, the cloud will make the solution more accessible to employees worldwide.
In the area of growing levels of cyber threats related to criminal activity and fraud, Shell is strengthening its oversight of risk management across the supply chain, said Adam Markson, managing director of Accenture. - We are replacing time-consuming manual operations with up-to-date data analysis automation systems not only to improve the quality of work, but also to make the screening process transparent to management. We were chosen for this work due to expertise in the industry and experience in implementing corporate security systems. |
Such decisions are undoubtedly relevant for Russia. First, oil companies are tightly embedded in the global context and face the same challenges and challenges as Shell. Secondly, it is obvious that Russian companies spend a lot of effort in improving the culture of working with counterparties, in which they can be helped by advanced AI solutions, "said Anton Epishev, head of Industry X Accenture in Russia. |
