2021: Development of corporate standards for working with electronic design documentation

As part of the implementation of the Digital Transformation Strategy of the state corporation Roskosmos"" for the period until 2025 and the future until 2030, Lanit"" took part in a project to develop a set of corporate standards that establish requirements for the development, acceptance, use and storage of original design documentation in electronic form. This was reported in the company on April 6, 2021. The digital transition Product Lifecycle Management will significantly increase the quality and reduce the time for the creation of rocket and space technology, reduce transaction costs for the rocket and space industry.

According to Lanita, the standards regulate the digital process of developing design documentation using an automated product data management system.

The developed standards record the established practice at a number of enterprises of the State Corporation "Roscosmos," which, of course, is a breakthrough and which it is advisable to standardize and extend to the entire rocket and space industry. At the same time, they leave the opportunity to work systemically and consistently, not to create a gap between the established way of mechanically transferring the principles of developing design documentation to electronic form. The standards allow evolutionary transition to the advanced digital design methodology in the form of a "live" electronic layout of a product as a single original design document, which significantly reduces the labor burden of developing new products and making changes.

"The adoption of a series of standards establishing uniform requirements for the development of rocket and space technology in electronic form summed up the discussions that have long been held at various sites regarding the correct presentation of the developed electronic documentation. Of course, we have opened a new page in the development of digital design approaches. We expect that the documents will have a significant impact on the digitalization of rocket and space enterprises, "said Konstantin Shadrin, director of the Digital Development Department of Roscosmos State Corporation. Standardization is a symbiosis of the experience gained and the scientific and technical knowledge gained during the work. Standards determine the unification of products, including within information systems. Therefore, the adoption of these standards should serve as a basis for using common solutions and methodologies in the preparation of electronic technical documentation. "

"The development of digital design standards is the first serious step towards the creation of a full-fledged electronic original of working design documentation (digital design, digital technological preparation of production, digital production and operation based on digital documentation). There are still many challenges and new horizons ahead. We hope for the development of our cooperation and the opportunity to apply our many years of experience and practical knowledge in the future, "said Andrei Karmishin, Director of Business Development in Industry of Lanit JSC. - I would also like to mention the high competence of representatives of the space industry who participated in the process of developing and harmonizing standards. I believe that their work made it possible to obtain high-quality documents as soon as possible. Such standards are needed not only by Roscosmos State Corporation, but also by all Russian engineering. "
