2021: System View

April 7, 2021 IBS introduced the automated system "Cayman," designed for. managements of testing ON A tool it is integrated with a project management product, Atlassian Jira ensuring that all activities are carried out to prepare and perform manual, automated and load testing.

The main task of the IBS AppTest development team was to create a system with support for all basic types of software testing. The Cayman test management system reduces the time to support and update test scenarios, as well as reduces the time and financial costs for each iteration of testing. AS "Cayman" is registered in Rospatent (certificate No. 2021612271 of 15.02.2021).

Thanks to the automated system, the project team can manage releases, test scenarios, test runs and receive analytical data. With step-by-step work planning and a simple reporting system, Cayman allows real-time monitoring of the quality of the tested product. This increases transparency and control over the level of execution even by remote and geographically distributed teams.

The Kayman module for load testing provides a web interface for building complex load scenarios, online performance metric monitors, automatic reporting generation, storage of test results and artifacts. The Cayman test management system is fully compatible with the Apache Jmeter load testing utility, which allows you to reuse all available scripts, data pools and third-party libraries in Cayman, automating the testing process.

The key features of the Cayman Test Management System are an intuitive interface, quick deployment and configuration, test version control, monitoring of the loading of the test team and the test process itself, two-way integration with Jira, regular updating, professional support and a flexible licensing system.

The Cayman system is based on best practices and experience in the field of testing. We were able to create a tool to help build the process of managing software testing efficiently and efficiently. Experts of IBS AppTest will continue to work on development and improvement of the Cayman system, - Elena Alexandrova, the CEO of the IBS AppTest company explains. - In the future, steps are planned towards the development of the test automation module: generating automated tests based on manual scenarios, predicting the time of test execution, creating automatic reports on the execution of automated tests and much more. For the load test module, a built-in pipeline is being developed to run load tests, an external API for continuous integration systems, mechanisms for comparing test runs, and the use of auto tests for load test tasks. In the near future - the registration of Kayman in the register of Russian software.
