2025: Completion of Multi-Subject Video Analytics
FESCO transport group and NtechLab have completed the introduction of multi-object video analytics based on artificial intelligence to ensure the security of the Vladivostok Commercial Sea Port (VMTP, part of FESCO). NtechLab announced this on April 2, 2025.
The main task of AI video analytics within the framework of the Smart and Safe Port project is to control the perimeter from the penetration of unauthorized persons into dangerous and prohibited zones. AI also monitors labor safety - checks the presence of personal protective equipment (vests, masks, gloves) on porters and signals the relevant services about their absence.
In addition, the NtechLab development system controls the movement of all vehicles throughout the VMTP with the registration of license plates and the history of car movement.
At the second stage of the project, FESCO and NtechLab plan to use AI video analytics to control operational processes when working with containers: recognize their prefix and number, keep records of transshipment times, etc.
{{quote 'There are about 5,000 people in VMTP every day, including employees and guests. Therefore, the issue of security is always a priority for us. Artificial intelligence allows you to control a huge territory without attracting a large staff of people and quickly respond, for example, to cases of labor protection violations, which have become many times smaller with the introduction of AI video analytics, "said Dmitry Surovets, vice president of information technology at FESCO. }}
This is a significant project for NtechLab, which provides for the introduction of several types of our video analytics - from recognizing vehicles with license plates in more than 26 countries of the world to controlling the wearing of personal protective equipment by employees. To build such a unified monitoring system, it is planned to install more than 3,000 cameras, "said NtechLab CEO Alexei Palamarchuk. |
2021
Start of the project "Smart and Safe Port"
FESCO Transport Group (FESCO, Group), NtechLab, a technology partner of Rostec State Corporation and one of the representatives in the field of computer vision, and BINOM Integrator, the Group's official strategic partner, are embarking on the implementation of the Smart and Safe Port project at Vladivostok Commercial Sea Port PJSC (VMTP, part of FESCO). This was announced on September 2, 2021 by the FESCO Group.
The corresponding tripartite agreement of intent was signed by Dmitry Surovets, Vice President for Information Technology at FESCO, Andrey Telenkov, General Director of NtechLab, and Ivan Podoprigora, General Director of BINOM Integrator .
NtechLab will offer its platform biometric identifications and multi-subject video analytics FindFace Multi with functions, face recognition silhouettes people and cars for implementation. BINOM The integrator, for its part, will be responsible for the modernization IT and engineering infrastructure necessary for the implementation of the NtechLab platform and video monitoring in the VMTP.
Thanks to these technological solutions, VMTP will create a unified system of video analytics, monitoring labor safety and transport with a common biometric base. The technology will also provide remote access and the ability to control operational processes in the port in real time.
Computer Vision Implementation Plans
FESCO Transport Group (FESCO, Group) and NtechLab, a technology partner of Rostec State Corporation and one of the world's representatives in the field of computer vision, have agreed to use digital technologies at the Group's facilities. NtechLab announced this on April 12, 2021.
Among the areas in which it is planned to establish interaction are the digitalization of processes at the Group's facilities using a large range of computer vision analysts. FESCO and NtechLab plan to deploy various types of intelligent video analytics as a pilot project in the Vladivostok Commercial Sea Port (VMTP, part of FESCO): identification of machine numbers, video control of ship calls, video container counting, and more.
The development of digital services and information systems is a key element in improving the Group's business processes. We expect that cooperation with NtechLab will allow us to improve these processes. VMTP will become a pilot platform for deploying an intelligent video analytics system, but in the future these technologies can be extended to other terminals of the Group, "said Andrey Severilov, Chairman of the FESCO Board of Directors. |
We plan to implement, in fact, the first project in Russia to use multi-format intellectual analysts at a large logistics facility. With the help of neural networks, you can monitor both compliance with security measures and the correctness of technical processes. Technologies will simplify and speed up control processes at FESCO facilities, as well as make work on them more comfortable, "said NtechLab CEO Andrei Telenkov. |
