2021: Construction of a plant for the production of medical plastic products in the Pskov region

In mid-April 2021, it became known about the construction by Mediplast in the Pskov region of a plant for the production of medical plastic products. It is planned to invest 120 million rubles in this project.

The company will establish the production of consumables for the needs of blood services, ventilators and infusion-transfusion therapy systems. Each year it is planned to produce about 28 million such products. Products will be delivered to clinics in the Pskov region and other regions as part of government orders.

The plant, which Mediplast is preparing to build, will be located on the territory of the Moglino special economic zone of the commercial and industrial type (SEZ CCI). Its supervisory board approved the implementation of the project at a meeting on April 15, 2021.

"Mediplast" creates the production of medical products from plastic for 120 million rubles in the Pskov region

The Governor of the Pskov Region Mikhail Vedernikov drew the attention of investors that as part of the implementation of the Mediplasta investment project, the wages of workers should be at least below the average wage level in the region.

According to the SPARK-Interfax system, Mediplast LLC was registered in 2019 in St. Petersburg. The company is 75% owned by General Director Mikhail Pleshivtsev, a 25% stake is owned by Sergey Komyagin, co-owner of the St. Petersburg manufacturer of medical products from Novoplast-M PVC (by April 2021). Financial indicators are not disclosed.

A similar project by April 2021 is being implemented in the Technopolis Moscow SEZ: the Penta Group scientific and production association will invest 1.69 billion rubles in organizing the production of a similar range of medical products using PVC plasticate of its own release at the site in Zelenograd. Production capacity is estimated at 1.4 million filters and 480 thousand circuits for IVL per year, the launch of the plant is scheduled for 2023.[1]
